Our History

Built on Experience.
Driven by Progress.
Focused on the Future.

Samuel Grant Packaging began in Leeds in 1891 as a small family supplier of school and stationery goods. Over 130 years later, the business remains family-owned, proudly independent and trusted by industries across the UK.

Our history tells a story of resilience and reinvention how a Victorian trading company evolved into a modern packaging partner with innovation at its core.

A Legacy of Reliability

From hand-wrapped parcels to advanced pallet stability systems, every generation of the Grant family has strengthened our reputation for reliability. We’ve built partnerships that span decades, earning the trust of customers who rely on us to keep their goods protected and their operations running smoothly.

“For more than a century, we’ve adapted to every challenge by focusing on what we do best — solving problems and serving people.”
Andrew Grant, Managing Director

Innovation Through the Years

135 Years of Trust and Transformation

Across four generations, we’ve expanded into regional sites in Leeds, Sheffield, Jarrow and Stockport, each built on the same family values of trust, service and integrity. Our people remain at the heart of our success — skilled, loyal and proud to carry forward the Samuel Grant name.

Today, we stand as one of the UK’s most established packaging businesses, combining experience with fresh thinking to meet the needs of modern industry.

Looking Ahead

Our story is still being written. As we continue to invest in sustainability, data-driven packaging and next-generation materials, our goal remains simple: to deliver packaging that performs, protecting both products and the planet.
